'Zero' box-office collection Day 12: Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif starrer shows some growth
The film which marks the only major release of Shah Rukh Khan in the year 2018 did not come up with good numbers in week one. The film also witnessed a huge fall on its second Friday. The movie sees Shah Rukh Khan essaying the role of a dwarf man for the first time, who romances a differently abled scientist played by Anushka Sharma and is love-struck by a popular heroine played by Katrina Kaif.
According to the latest report by BoxofficeIndia.com, on New Year's day, the film has managed to collect Rs 1.25 crore on its twelfth day at the box office. The film has now managed to collect a total of Rs 89.25 crore. The film is not going anywhere with the second-weekend collections and it remains to be seen whether the film can go over Rs 100 crore which seems very difficult as of now.
The plot of the film revolves around Bauua Singh (Shah Rukh Khan), a vertically challenged man who squanders his father's money and is besotted by superstar Babita Kumar (Katrina Kaif). He falls in love with a scientist, Aafia (Anushka Sharma) who is affected by cerebral palsy. Their love story travels from India to the US and all the way to the outer space.
Directed by Aanand L. Rai, 'Zero' stars Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles. The film also stars Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Sheeba Chaddha, Jaipreet Singh and Brijendra Kala in supporting roles. The film also sees a range of Bollywood stars making their cameo appearances during the whole film.
