爆旋陀螺 has taken to Twitter to support her mother's film No Fathers In Kashmir. The censor board has given an A certificate to the film and the director Ashvin Kumar is against it. The film has been delayed by six months now due to this clash over certification. Alia wrote on Twitter, "Was soo looking forward to mom's @nofathers_movie #nofath ersinkashmir!! @Soni_Razdan@as hvinkumar & team worked super hard for this honest teens love story in Kashmir. Really hope the CBFC would #lifttheban. It s a film about empathy & compassion..let s give love a chance!".
Ashvin had earlier told IANS that his film doesn't have any sex, violence, vulgarity, profanity, nudity and drug abuse. In fact, it takes an old premise in the forefront which is narrated through the lives of two teenagers who go through love and heartbreak. He added, "The CBFC s decision is, firstly, against established law. In the case of Pankaj Bhutalia s film on stone pelting in Kashmir, The Textures of Loss , in which the facts are almost similar to that of No Fathers in Kashmir , the Delhi High Court converted the A rating to U .
Like Alia, many celebrities have requested CBFC to clear the film so that people can watch it. Check out the reactions here...
